Director, Noel Micallef, PADI Staff Instructor, first started diving over 30 years ago. Training first as a BSAC instructor, he then embarked on PADI training, and has been a PADI instructor for over 17 years.  He established Paradise Diving Malta in 1991 and continues to manage the dive centre and teach diving on a full time basis.

Alison Micallef Brennan, British expat, living in Malta since 1995, runs the dive centre with her husband Noel. She will answer your enquiries, handle all bookings, advise on accommodation, find a babysitter, suggest restaurants and anything else you need help with.

Martin Hall, PADI IDC Staff Instructor, employed by us since 1999. Martin is British and has lived and worked full time as a PADI Instructor in Malta since 1996. He has received a certificate of excellence from PADI for outstanding teaching practice and is very highly thought of by both experienced divers and novices alike, as a quick trawl through online diving forums will reveal.
Like most of our instructors, he started life with BSAC becoming a BSAC Advanced instructor, in due course.
Martin was voted best sports instructor in Malta, in a competition organized by the Malta Tourism Authority throughout 2006.  Tourists were encouraged to nominate an instructor deserving special commendation and Martin received the most nominations.  At an awards ceremony in March 2007, he was awarded an 18ct gold lapel pin, certificate and cheque for LM500. (£790 sterling.)
Martin won the competition for best instructor  again for the year ending 2007 but was informed in 2008, that he would not be allowed to win a third time, so for the season of 2008, Martin was awarded a certificate of special commendation from the Malta Tourism Authority instead.  However Martin was eligible to compete again through the 2009 season and won for the 3rd time!  He received his award in February 2010.  Thank you to all our clients for their nominations.

Mark Dove
Mark Dove Padi MSDT left an office job in the UK in 2006, after his wife Lyn suggested they move to Thailand and qualifiy as Instructors to pursue their love of diving full time.  After working in Grenada and St Vincent, they arrived in Malta in 2008.  This is Marks third season in Malta now and he is very much at home in the Maltese islands.
Matt O'Connor PADI open water
PADI MSDT Mark Dove awarding Matt O' Connor his PADI Open Water Certification.   Matt is better known for playing percussion in the Rod Stewart band and was over in Malta for the Rod Stewart 2010 tour.  Matt worked very hard to fit the open water course before and after the concert.  His colleagues in the band, had an easier time as they were already qualified divers and could dive for fun at Lantern Point Chimney and Blue Lagoon Tunnel and cave.
