Learning to Dive in Malta
We are a PADI 5 star training
facility. PADI teaching materials are
available in most languages including
books, tests and DVDs.
PADI qualifications are recognized
world wide.

Malta is an ideal location in which to learn to dive.  There are no tides, rarely any currents and exceptional visibility underwater.  In the north of the island there are many sheltered bays and lagoons which make ideal training conditions for beginners.  We accept children from 10 years up to try diving or take a PADI training course.  They will receive a junior version of the qualification but this converts to adult status without further action on their 15th birthday.  Our training facilities include a sheltered bay right in front of the dive centre, 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool and a classroom all onsite.  Our award winning instructors have the patience and skill to ensure you succeed.  We can also arrange for a professional underwater photographer to record your dive on disk for a permanent souvenir of your diving adventure.

We teach diving using the PADI system.  All PADI training sessions for beginners, are modular, which means that whatever you achieve in one session can count towards the next level (undertaken on the same holiday) saving you time and money.  For instance if you take an introductory dive, the cost of this will be deducted from Discover Scuba or Scuba Diver or PADI Open Water diver, should you wish to continue your diver training.

All diving equipment is loaned free of charge.  The Scuba Diver course and
PADI Open Water course both use the same crew pack, which costs and additional
Euro 48.  This includes, manual, log book and submersible dive tables.  The crew pack is available in serveral languages.  No books are needed for the introductory dive or Discover Scuba Diving.  No sneaky hidden charges, PADI certification fees are included on all courses.

Introductory Dive.  Price Euro 35
This is a two hour session and commences with a PADI video, Instructor briefing and kitting up.  At first you will practise breathing using Scuba in a shallow, sheltered bay.  When you are comfortable  you will move off with your instructor to water no deeper than 3m to make your first underwater dive.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving  Price Euro 80
This is a full day session which includes the Introductory dive (above), followed by a deeper dive in the afternoon to a depth of around 8m.  The second dive may be by boat in the summer, (may to October, weather permitting) or a shore dive.  This course includes PADI certification.
Students who have just taken our Introductory dive can switch to this course to make the second dive and get the PADI certification.  They will only be charged the difference between the two courses.

PADI Scuba Diver Certification Price Euro 240
(This is the cost of the full course for those who are starting from nothing, those who have completed any other training program with us on the same holiday will just pay the difference)

This course is especially suitable for those who wish to  become a certified diver, but don't have much time during their holiday.  The PADI Scuba Diver program is a 2-day course that will teach you the fundamentals of scuba diving, dive equipment and scuba techniques. The PADI Scuba Diver course is the first step in obtaining your PADI Open Water Diver certification. After completing shallow confined water dives, attending knowledge development sessions and making two open water dives, you will be able to dive all over the world under the direct supervision of a dive professional. This course includes all diving equipment, training sessions,  2 open water dives and PADI Scuba Diver certification.
If you decide to continue straight onto the PADI Open Water diver program, during the same holiday, you will only need to pay the difference in price between the two courses.  Otherwise you can convert from Scuba Diver to Open Water diver at any time, at any PADI dive centre worldwide.  Of course you don't have to upgrade to Open Water diver and your Scuba Diver status lasts forever.

PADI Open Water Diver Euro 340
(This is the cost of the whole course for those who are starting from nothing, those who have completed any other beginners training program with us on the same holiday will just pay the difference)

In only 4 days you can get the most widely recognized diving licence in the world with our highly qualified scuba instructors. PADI is the largest diving training organization in the world, and Paradise Diving's certification course strictly adheres to PADI's high standards regarding safety and instruction. The course includes the use of all diving equipment, theory sessions, confined water sessions, and 4 open water dives. Following course completion, you will obtain an internationally recognized diver certification that allows you to enjoy scuba diving the world over.  In almost every country you will be able to dive without an Instructor, and hire diving cylinders etc.  ( We recommend that newly qualified divers, dive initially with a diving professional, especially in new locations or waters different to those they have trained in.)

PADI Open Water Referral Euro 190

This course is for those students who are already learning to dive with another diving school.
Those who have completed their PADI Open Water Diver theory and confined water training before arriving in Malta can finalize their PADI qualification with the necessary 4 open water dives at sea. Students must bring their log books  and/or referral form providing proof of the prior PADI training. This course can be completed in just 2 days.

E learning
E learning is an option to study your course theory at home on your own computer.   You do this through PADI's e learning online facility.   PADI charge approximately Euro 90 for this facility.   If you wish to do this, we will give you a discount of 10% off the open water course fee, providing you nominate Paradise Diving Malta as your chosen dive centre when enrolling on the PADI e- learning website.    Click here or on the banner below to register and nominate our dive centre automatically.  However please note that even with the discount, this is a more expensive way of studying and that it will always be cheaper to purchase the crew pack from us and complete the entire open water course with us in Malta.
